Frequently Asked Questions
Is 'biodegradable' the same as 'compostable'?
No. 'Biodegradable' only means a material can in principle be decomposed by microorganisms — with no time limit. 'Compostable' per DIN EN 13432 requires degradation within a defined time under composting conditions, without harmful residues.
